Meet the Board!

We’re delighted to introduce you to the experts we’ve brought together to steer beta…

We’ve launched beta to help connect the built environment to emerging technology, and to champion innovation across the sector. Through industry collaboration and partnership, beta is building a more sustainable, tech-driven future for the built world whilst helping our community to build fruitful relationships across the space. Through our extensive network and relationships, we’ve brought together some of the leading minds across the built environment sector, who can truly add value to the beta network and its members. With years of industry experience and knowledge in technology, innovation, construction, and engineering, the board will help the beta community to drive transformation and positive change across the built world.



Andy Steele, Osborne

As Group CEO of Osborne and Chair of Build UK, Andy is passionate about ensuring a sustainable future for the construction industry. Within his roles, he strives to create an industry that offers long-term, secure opportunities for employees, whilst also developing efficient processes for industry clients. A leading figure across the construction sector and wider built environment, Andy’s expertise is of incredible value to our construction and technology partners.


Nadia Sergejuk, Mott MacDonald

As Investment Associate for Mott MacDonald, Nadia focuses on assisting early stage start-ups and visionary founders. With a passion for new technologies that have the potential to solve real world climate challenges, Nadia works to develop mutually beneficial partnerships that can help innovative companies realise their vision across the architecture, engineering and construction industries.


Rikesh Shah, Transport for London

As the head of Commercial Innovation for TfL, Rikesh leads the company’s open innovation activity, helping to improve London’s built environment and work towards the city’s sustainability targets. This includes improved mobility, supplier innovation, and technological innovation across the public and private sector. We’re excited to have Rikesh on board, helping to advise our members on the latest innovations and transformation taking place across the built world.


Charlie Forshaw, Arup

Charlie is the Product Innovation & Partnerships Lead for Arup. Within her role she manages a team that focuses on climate change innovation and sustainable projects, such as: city decarbonisation, climate data projection, and natural flood management. As a member of the UKMEA board for innovation at Arup, Charlie helps to shape the companies sustainability goals across the sector. Charlie’s industry knowledge and skillset will help to steer beta’s innovation and sustainability practices.
